World Rhythm Academy, The Center for Black Literature at Medgar Evers College, and Former New York State Assemblyman Roger Green present an evening of revolutionary music, art, spoken word, dance and refreshments in honor of W.E.B. Du Bois’ birthday.

The program will feature Quincy Troupe, poet and biographer of jazz musician Miles Davis; Keith Gilyard,  author and Edwin Erle Sparks Professor of English and African American Studies at Pennsylvania State University; The Ronnie Burrage Group, with Frank Lacy, Kelvyn Bell, Lonnie Plaxico & Davis Whitfield; and Earl H. Brooks, Assistant Professor English, University of Maryland, Baltimore County.

It’s going to be a fun-filled night of great jazz, funk and soul, passionate spoken-word and visual art and dancing!
