Please Support the Center for Black Literature
The Center for Black Literature at Medgar Ever College is deeply grateful for the support you have given us over the past 14 years. As we move into the New Year, it is now as important as ever that the Center continues to expand, broaden, and enrich the public’s knowledge and aesthetic appreciation of the value of Black literature. We are proud to honor our literary icons and to create a forum for reading, studying, and supporting the voices of the writers, poets, and artists throughout the African Diaspora.
The National Black Writers Conference and Symposium, the Re-Envisioning Our Lives through Literature Youth Program, and the John Oliver Killens Reading Series are just a few of the inspirational literary programs that the Center presents to youth, college students, lovers of literature, and the general public. These programs support writers and artists whose works represent and expand knowledge of Black literary arts, culture and history.
We are continuously working to raise funds to supplement the costs of our programs, and your support helps to keep events FREE and /or at a low cost. To support our mission and programming, please make a donation today and attend one of our upcoming events. The Center for Black Literature is the only Center of its kind in the country, and we would like you to be a part of sustaining the mission and legacy of this important institution.
