Greetings National Black Writers Conference Attendees and Fellow Book Lovers

Welcome to the 15th National Black Writers Conference. This year’s Conference is presented virtually; we are pleased once again to have Sister’s Uptown Bookstore and Cultural Center serve as the official book vendor for the Conference. Located at 1942 Amsterdam Ave. in New York City, Sister’s Uptown Bookstore is one of the few remaining Black-owned bookstores in the New York metropolitan area. The theme of this year’s Conference is “Activism, Identity, and Race: Playwrights and Screenwriters at the Crossroads,” and many of the Conference’s participants are published authors. To browse the listing of books by these writers, please visit Sister’s Uptown Bookstore for purchasing. For books by 15th NBWC Participants, visit https://sisters-uptown-bookstore-l-lc.square.site/shop/national-black-writers-conference-2020-pre-order-/38.
