The Center for Black Literature Is Participating in #GivingTuesday!
#GivingTuesday is a global giving movement that has been built by individuals, families, organizations, businesses and communities in all 50 states and in countries around the world.
This year, #GivingTuesday will be held on December 3, 2019.
#GivingTuesday harnesses the collective power of a unique blend of partners to transform how people think about, talk about and participate in the giving season. It inspires people to take collective action to improve their communities, give back in better, smarter ways to the charities and causes they believe in, and help create a better world.
“#GivingTuesday demonstrates how every act of generosity counts,
and that they mean even more when we give together.”

About the Center for Black Literature
The Center for Black Literature’s mission is to expand, broaden, and enrich the public’s knowledge and aesthetic appreciation of the value of Black literature. To support our mission and programming, please make a donation and attend one of our upcoming events. We would like YOU to be a part of it all!
Each year, we ask friends and supporters to contribute at all levels. We are continuously working to raise funds to supplement the costs of our programs, and your support keeps events FREE and /or at a low cost to the public and help toward scholarships to students at Medgar Evers College.
We have also produced inspiring events with several amazing writers and artists including Ta-Nehisi Coates, MacArthur Foundation “Genius” Award recipient; Jacqueline Woodson, National Book Award winner; and best-selling author and award-winning filmmaker M. K. Asante.
