The Center for Black Literature at Medgar Evers College, CUNY, presents a discussion and reading with best-selling author Jacqueline Woodson, whose latest book is Another Brooklyn. Woodson will be joined in conversation with Glory Edim, founder of Well-Read Black Girl. Another Brooklyn is Woodson’s first adult novel in 20 years and is on the Longlist for the 2016 National Book Awards. Woodson is the 2014 National Book Award Winner for her New York Times best-selling memoir Brown Girl Dreaming.

The John Oliver Killens Reading Series is a literary program that presents established authors, poets, and scholars as well as emerging writers with opportunities to discuss the craft of writing and read from their recently published work.
