Submission Guidelines:

Before submitting your poem, please make sure you have read and adhered to the following guidelines where applicable:

  1. Recitation of poem/spoken word at the poetry slam on March 23rd, 2018, to be judged
  2. A participant will have the opportunity to recite one poem
  3. National Poetry Slam rules will be followed
  4. You will have 3 minutes and 10 seconds to recite your poem.
    • No props
    • No musical accompaniment
    • You will be judged on stage presence, delivery and content
    • The emcee will remind you of the rules on the day of the event
  5. Poems containing vulgar, offensive or foul language will result in automatic disqualification.
